FAITH VERSUS FEAR SEMINAR

One of the most debilitating and enslaving emotions that Satan uses quite effectively in the lives of believers is fear. In II Timothy 1:7, Paul says: "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." This fear that Satan incites in our hearts is nothing less than him saying to us: "You can’t believe God and what He says, you better take matters into your own hands if you want this situation to work out in your favor." Thus, by giving in to this fear and following through with whatever action it is motivating us to move toward in taking matters into our own hands, versus trusting and obeying God in faith, we are actually embracing Satan’s lie that God can’t be trusted! The consequence of such an enslaving fear is a constant uncertainty and insecurity. This in turn results in frustration and anxiety, which lead to actions that are contrived and carried out through one’s own carnal reasoning that do not result in peace, but rather in a continued cycle of fear, insecurity, frustration and ill conceived actions all over again!

Can this cycle be broken and true freedom found from this enslaving and debilitating fear? The answer is yes, and that is what this Seminar is all about. The following are the topics that will be discussed:

3. The Most Oft Repeated Command in the Bible - "Do Not Fear"
4. The Nature of Faith - Hebrews 11:1
5. Biblical Examples of Faith Overcoming Fear
6. Rehearsing God’s Faithfulness - Psalm 37:3
7. Practical Steps Toward Recognizing and Overcoming Fear

This is a ten hour seminar, and if you think it would be beneficial to your flock, it can be taught on a weekend, or over a five or ten week time period, meeting two hours or one hour a week for five or ten weeks respectively. It will be a blessing to work with your schedule in order to meet the need of your congregation.
