THE HISTORY OF CHRISTIAN DOCTRINE SEMINAR This is a twenty-hour seminar, and it covers the history and development of the major areas of Christian doctrine from the early church up to our own day. This can be a very enlightening and informative course for those who are interested in the origins of our beliefs, as well as the battles fought to maintain the truth of God’s Word over against the onslaught of Satanic deception, misrepresentation, distortion and lies. For example, you will discover that the ancient Arian heresy is still with us today in the form of Jehovah’s Witnesses who believe that Jesus Christ was a created being, not our eternal God. You will also discover that the ancient Gnostic heresy is alive and well in certain aspects of Mormonism. In addition, you will discover that the spiritual battles the early church fought in order to uphold the truth of God’s Word, we are still fighting today! And just like our predecessors who overcame these assaults and lies through the power of Christ Jesus living in and through them, so too will we overwhelmingly conquer (Romans 8:28-39). This seminar may be taught over a ten-week period, meeting one night a week for two hours; two weekend seminars, beginning on a Friday night and all day Saturday; or a week long intensive.
